Stump Removal

Most of us enjoy beautiful trees in our yards or landscape. When trees must be removed, unsightly stumps remain. Fungi is the organism that rot or decay wood. Fungi do not possess chlorophyll and consequently must get food from other sources such as wood stumps.  Decaying  tree conditions can be solved by cutting the stump as near ground level as possible, covering with sod and kept moist, as you can see the importance to remove stumps before they take away from other surrounding trees.

Fruit trees can be an attractive and useful addition to the home landscape.  Select a site with direct sunlight ,allow enough room between the planting site and buildings, trees, power lines or other obstructions for the tree to fill its space fully grown. Help get the new tree started, especially the first few weeks after planting. Watering is key, a good rule is to apply five gallons of water around the base of the tree every week of the growing season in which there is less than an inch of rainfall.

Rules for sidewalks, trees and fences vary from town to town. Many variations to the rules apply to you and your property,  assuming maintenance responsibilities will help avoid injury on your property. Checking with your city ordinance for exact city tree regulations or ask a qualified arborist for details.

Tree Planting

Tree Planting

Planting trees is an easy and effective way to beautify your property and landscape, providing shade against the hot sun, wind protection, and enhances privacy;  increasing real estate values at the same time. Trees are such a visible part of the landscape, care must be taken to ensure proper growth conditions are maintained.  Once a tree mature, it is far mor difficult to replace than the landscape and most shrubs.  Advance planning helps trees be easily maintained.

Hazardous Tree Evaluation

Hazardous Tree Evaluation

What is a hazard tree? There are several causes of a hazardous tree take a look at the list below so you know the signs of a hazardous tree:

  • Common hazards include dead branches, dead trees, stubs from topping cuts, broken branches, tight angled crotches, multiple leaders, and an unbalanced crowns.
  • A tree is consider hazardous when it has a structural defect or the tree is located to close to property structure.
  • Hazardous property structured areas are where personal injury or property damage could occur if the tree, or a portion of the tree fails.
  • Other hazardous areas include sidewalks, walkways, roads, vehicles, structures, playgrounds or other areas where people are likely to gather.
  • Structurally sound and healthy trees may also be hazardous if they interfere with utilities, roadways, walkways, raise sidewalks or obstruct motorist vision

If your tree or trees match any of the above hazardous tree regulations, contact us immediately for an estimate to have your tree removed or maintained to avoid state penalties.

Systemic Injections

Systemic Injections

A very effective method for combating nutrient deficiency is systemic injection. Chemicals flow throughout the tree to providepest control. Fertilizer and tree growth regulators can also be applied through injections made into healthy xylem. However, dead or diseased xylem is not functional, and the tree is beyond the help of systemic therapy. Successful control of tree pests is dependent upon treating the infested parts of the tree.  By using systemic placement of pesticides into the sap stream of the tree. This method is done by drilling small holes into the tree at the root flare and installing capsules every 6 inches around the base. The material is then dispersed up the tree from the sap. The proper time to inject is at bud swell. It is environmentally safe and effective.

Soil Testing

Soil Testing

Soil test will determine fertilizer use.  It is a process which elements, such as; phosphorus (P), potassium (K), nitrogen (N), calcium, magnesium, sodium, sulfur, manganese, copper and zinc are chemically removed from the soil and measured for their "plant growth" content. The quantity of available nutrients in the sample determines the amount of fertilizer that is recommended. A soil test also measures humic matter agriculture, industry, and the environment, soil pH, and exchangeable acidity. These analysis indicate whether lime is needed and, if so, how much to apply.

Fertilzing soil testing is a great way to determine healthy plants, trees, flowers, bushes and much more.

Humate Treatments

Humate Treatments

For healthy plants and soil, high quality of humates and humic acid products are needed.. Humate materials are organic carbon containing compounds found in soils, fresh water, and oceans. These substances are formed from the biological and chemical breakdown of animal and plant life, and make up approximately 75 percent of the organic matter that exists in most mineral soils. Humates are a vital role in determining the production potential of a soil.

All Around Tree Care provides experts in humate testing and treatments.
